  • OPHTHALMIC OINTMENT… This product features a small bottle of ophthalmic ointment from Akorn. Coming in a misty pink color, the ointment weighs 3.5g (1/8 oz), and contains a sodium chloride solution at a 5% concentration that will sterilize contact lenses and other optical equipment.
  • USE OF OINTMENT… Apply small amount (one-fourth inch) to the inside of affected eye(s) every 3 to 4 hours, or as directed by a doctor. Store at 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F). Store away from heat. Protect from freezing. Keep tightly closed. Retain this carton for future reference.
  • STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR…  if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Hypertonic sodium chloride solution for the eye is used to draw water out of a swollen cornea. The extra water in the cornea can cause your vision to be poor. You may also see halos or rings around point light sources. The cornea is the clear cover over the colored part of your eye.

Inactive Ingredients:

Mineral Oil; Modified Lanolin; Purified Water; White Petrolatum

 Uses:

For the temporary relief of corneal edema.

Do not use this product except under the advice and supervision of a doctor.

To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface.

Replace cap after using.

May cause temporary burning and irritation upon application into the eye.
